Well, the answer lies with the Captain (pun intended). Low fares are easy to draw in people but what is being done to retain them?
I was on a 21:30 hrs flight from Chennai to Bangalore last night. No points for guessing the flight was delayed as usual. We landed in Bangalore at 02:30 hrs! The Chennai airport with roughly around 100+ wailing kids, distressed parents and sleepy other co-passengers, waiting endlessly for their wait to end.
There were smart announcements (read cheap tricks) of delayed flight, every time by 45 minutes. Do they think customers are fools? Or is it that they are playing a game of patience with the customers? The passengers were left at their own plight not even a single blue and yellow uniformed staff was there to give the correct information. Ill staffed and ill trained, the staff looked least bothered. Perhaps, they have got well conditioned.
This is not the first time, since I have heard at different point in time people cribbing. With 360+ flights running during the day, even a single customer like me decides not to fly with this service provider.....on every flight, every day…. The Captain has a reason to worry.
It was a noble business strategy to make the flights economical for the aam aadmi but not at the cost of his/her time and patience please!
